the time a real life fox came right up to me and my old black and green sweater

we'll start with the black and green sweater... i was out one night with friends in the gay district of madrid, 'chueca'.... i saw this sweater and had to have it, it had a hoodie and a pouch at the front to put one's hands in... also tassles for the hoodie and waist and it was checkered all over in small black and dark green checks as well as having a light green background....... that was in early 1997....... from there i remember wearing it one time at an outdoor barbecue outside a school i had attended from age 4 thru 13 or 14.... where the barbecue was, i was wearing it and talking to a  former english language teacher of mine who was flipping meat... we talked about death of loved ones.... in that same place, many years before the jacket/sweater, when i was a little kid like 10 maybe, i clearly remember a fighter jet, like an f-111 fighter jet, from the nearby richmond air force base flying over low at ludicrously low altitude, so that the noise was unbearable and the jet filled the sky...... the same jacket probably got worn a lot during film school university activities (won't say studies) in the following 2 years however we don't recall it... however we do recall wearing it in madrid again later around the year 2000 and then in nyc around october 2011 a few weeks after the 9/11 attacks.... that's the last time i can really remember wearing it... a friend took a picture in a starbucks in manhattan at around that time and we got some other pics of the excursion and that's about the last time i remember wearing it........ not sure what became of it

well driving a taxi four 12 hour shifts a week will mess with your sleeping patterns.... today, monday, is my 3rd day off in a row, about to go to bank, cash out about 3 grand and go buy my holden commodore 6 cyclinder what runs on LPG gas AND petrol (like american 'gas' but a liquid)... LPG is like almost 1/2 the price of petrol so it's a real money saver... this car has been specially modified with a tank inside the trunk for the LPG (same as the taxis benji drives which are actually Fords)......

speaking of 'Fords'.... had some really weird dreams last nite -- champix factor, 25%+ as took one (only one) yesterday, dick cheney was in my dream (for like 1st and only time).... on somekind of big campus (maybe for a school but no intellectual vibe there) or public plaza with stairs.... went up some stairs to get my $50 back of cheney for sthmg that never went through and he didn't want to give it up, he insisted on imposing the contract -- what a jerk! after that dream experience, that was the only way i could connect with all the lefties on fox news that whine about republicans being greedy

before that, was in bed alone (single bed) -- it was a strange arrangement, possibly in arizona, under the bed was a little drain/grate/stream, parallel and beneath the bed, in fact, this is not dissimilar to the real life reality of having spent a few weeks sleeping next to a river in sedona (outdoors) in a small niche in some boulders and rocks and suchlike....... in real life there was no real 'bed' but in the dream there was, however in the dream, there was an alleyway running perpendicular to my body/bed and only like a foot or so wide and quite long and there were  a number of wild critters  in it like wolves, bears, etc.... some guy came over and i begged him to get a grip on a wolf that was menacing... the wolf came up from behind me, escaping the hedge.... in real life, there was a threat of wild animals (in sedona by the river sleeping outdoors there) but not like as prevalent in this dream where there were constantly wild animals in the hedge running along a passage my head lay in (very strange dream)..............

well tonight turned out to be a successful shift -- long ride out some drunk woman that didn't puke to around sutherland - big fare... and then poached some customers to campbelltown - jackpot -- that's not even in sydney anymore -- M5 all the way to hume highway and basically outside sydney - $110 - discount rates - demanded cash up front due to some ju-jitsu master doing a walk off 'i'll just go get the money from my crib' dissappearing act the other day (-$70)

start a new work week

last week was too hectic... it was meant to compensate for all that holiday time in fiji -- but ended up working 5 shifts in a row and like 65-68 hours worth..... that's like compensating for one of those (many) weeks years and years and years ago where i didn't even bother working 20 hours a week (just not working at all).... in fact, after various more years of driving 48-50 hour weeks, we calculate that ALL of Benji's lost downtime lost to sloth and laziness (and an accompanying slight depression somewhat usual for non-workers) will be recompensated for down to the minute and then some........

this week starts in a few hours and it will just be 4 shifts in a row with some extra hours after 4am....... (so maybe 53 hour week)

well another problem, since arriving back from fiji, started smoking en ENTIRE packet a day (like 25 cigarrettes) which went up from potentially only one a day in fiji just on willpower...... it made me so sick, smoking an entire packet a day that yesterday i went out and bought some champix (like $35) and took one and so only had one cigarrette late yesterday, giving my body a chance to recuperate from some kind of cold/cough it is taking on.......... also the weather here is hitting wintertime, this morning was one of the coldest on record, after a few days ago being the warmest on record in 70 years... this morning got to -5C in canberra... very cold - will have to wear an undershirt and use aircon this week

champix causes crazy dreams although they can be avoided if u self-medicate and just have half a pill... in any case, for whatever reason, yesterday's dreams were somewhat memorable (possibly coz of champix) -- some place like a river-delta kind of place -- there had been a huge flood and we were out to kill snakes after the waters subsided... was scared when choosing a weapon to hack snake about killing live snake -- fortunately someone beat me to one snake and had hacked it into about 5 pieces.... although not part of my normal reality (snakes) a friend that is doing a one year stint in angola has posted photos where the locals there commonly kill snakes (eg., pythons) and roast them.......... snakes are symbolic of wisdom and also evolution -- the snake eating its own tail is a symbol of human evolution and is a fit symbol for incidents like u.s. iraq war (most recent one) -- later u find iraqi refugees living in america, likewise with vietnam, afterwards members of the tail of the snake (humanity) - the vietnamese (tail) end up in the mouth (america) of the snake.......... anyway, my dream wasn't about evolution.........

flicking through the channels, it's amazing to see just how stupid the american sitcoms (and probably most other sitcoms) are from 1990 onwards... mankind seems to have entered a profound backward stage during this period....

even the 'waltons' - made in the 60s about 1930s family, is better viewing.... how is it that the quality of 'award winning shows' is so poor? how is it a vat of rats in china, crapping on a movie camera could make better tv than these modern day humans?

despite having an active dreamlife... there so often seems nothing memorable worth recording.... besides, waking life is happy enough and busy, so why worry about dreams that don't seem to impress much...

this morning's dream seems to have left a strong impression: some young people were partying, just like a typical saturday nite driving a taxi.... however in the dream was seeing it from within a building - like with a ballroom or sthmg like that.... some young people, maybe early-mid 20 or late 20s had gotten drunk and a couple of dudes were starting to slug it out, then, chillingly, one of the party's used an interesting technique to kill the other party, perhaps the victim party was so drunk, this trick worked on them, it was chilling and disturbing: a kind of small ram was produced from somewhere, about 8 inches in diameter and a meter long, it was used to quickly tap the victim in the torso in such a way that instantly produced death...... it was truly disturbing to see young people settle their fights like this at a social event like a dance.........
