DARPA writes back to benji

(see below) -- you know what idea i had that DARPA would really like? if you want to really fuck up a localized enemy, there's nothing like fucking with their water supply.... if you could produce chemicals that would only activate in certain target population, like males aged 15-60... and had some kind of machine that could pick up on that reading remotely -- you would be able to identify and target that group because of their having drunk the local water supply and it triggering a detectable response based on their dna

Benjamin,

Thank you for your note.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) mission is to prevent and create strategic surprise by maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military. The Agency sponsors revolutionary, high-payoff research bridging the gap between fundamental discoveries and their military use.

With a specific approach in mind, you may wish to submit a formal proposal to DARPA. The Agency determines which research projects to fund based on a competitive review of proposals submitted in response to broad agency announcements (BAAs) that are available through the Federal Business Opportunities marketplace. The DARPA Tactical Technology Office BAA may be appropriate: https://www.fbo.gov/spg/ODA/DARPA/CMO/DARPA-BAA-11-13/listing.html.

We appreciate your thoughts and thank you for your support of the U.S. warfighter.
Best,
Brad
