now to the question of morality in china....
you know that the french are probably the least moral people in the world, right? one moment you're trying to buy a baguette, the next thing francois is inviting you to have sex with his 20 unisex buddies at the sourbonne...
but the chinese are really moral-fibrous people....... how can that be? if they put more people to death than the rest of the world combined? if you start whining about the govt. there, or selling heroine, they might take your organs away from you, on your deathbed!
that's true.... and there's no democracy... 1 billion people, no democracy.... but chinese people aren't druggy whores........ first of all, the pornography, violence and almost-porny stuff isn't all in kids' faces... the kids there basically don't have access to that stuff........ an american guy i knew once in china thought the chinese were prudish.... but i never thought the chinese were prudish.... chinese women can totally do sexy..... but the economy of life there is different, and people keep slutty experiences very low-key there and i would think that the great majority of people just abstain from them..... teenage pregnancy can definitely be an issue there but the school authorities would requisite an abortion.... a girl at a high school i worked at near north korea, allegedly tried suicide by jumping from a school window (some months beforehand perhaps) -- surely those things would happen from time to time in china but no accurate stats would be available....
enforced abortions due to the one-child policy is also an occasional and sad occurrence in china.... i definitely witnessed a lot of alcoholism there, more-so in the north where i first lived near north korea.... but in general, the people are hard working, less given to watching sex and violence in the mass media, tv + magazines.... more likely to work 60 hour weeks, at school or at work.... very healthy eaters... more likely to exercise regularly... capable of spirituality and peacefulness (if not overly taxed by difficult work/life conditions)
the innate spirituality and understanding of life balance that the chinese have... the americans and europeans most definitely do not...... europeans, in fact, can be branded oafish thugs... for all the pretenses the europeans make to culture, the europeans, have basically nothing in common apart from their essential brutishness and bigotry........ americans have much more potential than europeans, only 200 years of gene-diversity breeding there and already they have morphed into some whole new multi-diverse european race unto itself.....
but the chinese surely are more evolved spiritually than the americans and europeans? take religion, china, after the cultural revolution, can make some representations to this old god or that old god... who is that god you're burning incense to buddy in china? what difference does it make? so long as your feelings are worshipful towards it... i like your incense burning old chinese man god post-cultural revolution comrade......
now with the americans it really gets childish..... the american constitution makes it clear that church and state must be kept separate, thomas jefferson was probably very careful to keep that for sure.... but nominally, alot of americans, especially on the right, are christians..... the problem with christian morality is that it's pretty silly, unrealistic stuff.... it's all like, i'll try to be good - i'll try to be good - i'll try to be good --- repress -- repress oh no i just went on a 2-day meth bender and had sex with a whore in las vegas, better cover that up, sorry Jesus dude, forgive me Jesus.... problem persists
i guarantee Chinese people have heard about Jesus, but there is no christianity there so there's no moral uppity-ness in that respect... even Jesus said everyone's a sinner, so people shouldn't get all moral high-horsey

it's true that you cannot debate human rights and democracy and freedom and all that in china, but at the end of the day, it becomes moot there, you just get on with your work and your life there and save your philosophizing about freedom this and global perspective that.... and forcing freedom down people's throat like in iraq is not viable for a big population like china's.... if you were to try doing it, your army would probably end up smoking opium there and chasing chinese women around all drunk and staggering and such
