that's what americans say to you if they think you're acting insanely
that's a pretty smart thing to say
but that's a hopeless generalization -- coz factors like obesity, catholicism, race and what not would have to be taken into account
trying to not generalize stupidly, let's compare loughner vs. breivik
loughner was american born and bred... general americans try hard to eschew do-gooder socialism... however, in the case of loughner, they decided he was psychiatrically ill and wanted to medicate him --- this is unusual in america as the normal thing is death penalty
alot of americans might think that becoz there's no constitutional right to get firearms in europe as a whole -- that it might be hard to get a gun -- but breivik got one -- a good one -- and in former communist countries in the east, where a wild west cold hard cruel communist atmosphere prevails (somewhere, deep down inside) - it can be amazingly easy to get a good gun or two........
someone else in norway could have gotten a gun and brought it to that youth camp and then used it on breivik, but they didn't
now the norwegian justice system, is going to treat breivik not like a severely ill man, no-one is even thinking along those lines, but as some kind of abnormality, a monstrosity.... so far they are giving him every dignity and respect it seems, the courtroom people are even dignifying his wishes, there is no suggestion he is being scrutinized and found mad........ although anyway would label this an act of madness........ when do we so, 'no, it's not madness, it's islamic terrorism?' --- when it's a moslem who has their own ideology and grief list........ no-one is going to say breivik is crazy....... they're gonna say he's a monster like the unabomber....... he'll end up in prison for life......
people will forget about him for 9 years at a stretch and then be all like, 'oh yeah' and remember him when his memory is resurrected in some sporadic tv documentary mention to him over the years
he definitely goes down as the all time record holder for mass-murdering shooting spree....... he has completely wiped the tasmanian shooting-spree-killer from 1996 out of the way
