o'reilly in early 19th century england part iv

well the lord of the manor deduced he should deliver the o'reilly once and for all up to the formiddable old man jenkins...

'come along old boy, you can't stay there,' said the lord.

'where are we going to?' asked o'reilly.

'we're going to walk up to yonder vale there, there's a little shack there it's the home of one rj. jenkins the second, he'd like to have a word with you he would.'

'very well then,' said the o'reilly, 'let us ascend there.'

'whither forward we go old boy,' said the lord and took up his cane and started on the unpaved garden path that wend up yonder mountain.

after travailling some time, the twosome arrived at the door of mr. rj jenkins wherein the lord rapped soundly with his cane upon the door, soliciting a response from within,

'mr. jenkins!' called the lord loudly, 'mr. jenkins!'
