they're talking about the economy on cnn so benji will talk about the economy -- first changing the channel to fox ok nothing there -- so let krugman talk...
the new york times had a good story about economic growth in brazil recently -- brazil and china have both been growing at 7% for years now
all of eastern europe basically TRANSFORMED -- growth as also an applicable word -- from 1990 to 2010 at 7% growth....
what you're gonna see in south america and mexico -- what has already started, as a great improvement in the standard of living...... greater wealth in china and asia too... actually, the only problem on the horizon is the running out of petrol
another interesting factoid recently is that america only purchases about 2.5% of its crap from china, in terms of finished product, -- that is not much....
watching tv would only confuse people.... unless they were watching documentaries that actually explain things in detail -- cnn and fox normally just dispense dumb factoids so some journalists with a mixture of dna from all over europe and names straight out of england can dumb everyone down with dumb irrelevant information --- the main thing info-tainment styled news tries to do with issues is AVOID THE SCOPE AT ALL COSTS as this would shed clarity
in fact, economics is relative to the FEEL of a Nation...... while it is possible to talk about china number 2 and america number 1 economy -- people should realize that there are 4 chinese for every one american and that the two nations are apples and oranges and there is no comparing life in either with the other, regardless of their economies......
a great many countries in eastern europe have been on their own economic trajectories... regardless of america's.... expect poor countries to get richer, rich countries to get poorer, and petrol to gradually run out
